This season the catwalks across the globe were awash with brand new trends and coveted threads for Autumn/Winter 2016-17.
With the FROW taking to their seats for the fashion capitals’ most anticipated shows, the supermodels cast and the designer’s eagerly awaiting the industries flurry of media, the first shows of the season at New York Fashion Week kicked off.
Here, we reveal our favourite shows of the season and share our shopping finds from Mall of the Emirates for A/W 2016-17.
There was an athletic vibe at New York Fashion Week, evident in sporty collections by 3.1 Philip Lim, DKNY and Coach. Follow suit by donning bomber jackets, mesh tops, tailored track pants and bright trainers.

Over at London Fashion Week the theme was a decidedly more feminine than previous years where grunge and punk once ruled. The new mood was glamorous with ruffles and frills at JW Anderson, marabou feathered trims at Christopher Kane and gold-flecked capes at Alexander McQueen.

It was all high drama and glam rock at Milan Fashion Week. Party girls will love the sequinned frocks, candy-coloured furs, velvet blazers and bedazzled dancing shoes as seen at Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli.

To cap off a fashionable month, some of the industries’ most renowned designer’s showcased their wears in Paris. Key shows included Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu and most notably Balmain – where designer Olivier Rousteing’s Balmain Army, including IT supermodels Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, took to the runway. We loved the corsetry detailing, suede thigh-high boots, fringe embellished mini dresses and shiny metallic wait belts.
