Where to feast during the big culinary fest?
If you are not hungry now, trust us; you will be after reading this round-up of tasty bites
With the Dubai Food Festival in full swing until the 14th of March, now is the time to treat your tastebuds and feast on the very best the local gastronomic scene has to offer.
With hundreds of international food offerings to suit all, be it piping hot sourdough pizzas at Brunswick or the innovative take on modern Indian fare found at Farzi Café, Mall of the Emirates is a one-stop-shop for all your culinary cravings and home to many of the best restaurants in Dubai.
Here are the brand new eateries you need on your radar – bon appetit!
A mouth-watering burger at Le Burger, in Mall of the Emirates
Burger fans take note – there is a brand new restaurant in town, and it is home to a staggering 2,000+ burger combinations! With all that choice, you will be hard-pressed to order just one. We recommend going in a group so you can sample and share as many of the gourmet buns as possible.
We have devoured a fair few from the sprawling menu and can vouch for the classic ‘Worth Melting For’, served packed with beef bacon and melted cheddar cheese sauce. For a more unusual bite, try the ‘Elvis Burger’, which comes with grilled banana and peanut butter, or the ‘Fata Morgana Burger’, with figs, dates and goat cheese.
The restaurant has also introduced options for green-minded veggies and vegans, including chickpea, zucchini or popcorn patty inside wholemeal gluten-free buns.
You will find plenty of healthy options at Nando’s in Dubai
Nando’s has recently opened inside Mall of the Emirates for hungry shoppers to refuel on the chain’s famous peri-peri chicken, wings and spicy rice.
While it might not be the most obvious choice, the Afro-Portuguese chain also offers many light and nutritious options, making it a top choice if you are hunting for a healthy restaurant in the mall. For a filling and tasty meal without the guilt, order the fresh quinoa salad or ¼ peri-peri chicken with corn on the cob and chargrilled veg.
Load up on classic Indian dishes at Gazebo in Mall of the Emirates
It is easy to see why Gazebo has stacked up more than 20 locations all across the United Arab Emirates – the famous Indian restaurant chain cooks up all the classics in a casual and family-friendly setting.
Nestled away from the crowds nearby to Ski Dubai on level 1, Gazebo’s latest opening in Mall of the Emirates offers hearty plates piled high with papdi chaat, murgh Lahori and hammour tikka biryani.
Buffalo Wild Wings
Buffalo Wild Wings will be a new favourite
We are close to drooling just thinking about the melt-in-your-mouth wing platters from popular American chain Buffalo Wild Wings, which recently opened its doors inside Mall of the Emirates. Stop by and order a basket of hand-sun wings doused in one of the restaurant’s many ‘mild or ‘wild’ spicy sauces or variety of seasonings.
Taking its name from the city of Buffalo in New York where chicken wings were first invented, the eatery also serves up burgers, wraps, nachos and many more delicious dishes to work your way through.
