It’s time to pack away your summer threads (except your swimsuit, we do live in Dubai, after all) as we enter the sparkling new fashion season.
The catwalks were awash with plenty of swoon-worthy new trends and in-demand pieces. And while our must-have Autumn/Winter 2015 list is longer than we’d like to admit, we have narrowed it down to the top three trends to try and the pieces to purchase now at the shopping malls in the UAE.
As seen at: Roberto Cavalli and Saint Laurent
The look: Animal prints are always a favourite for the winter months, but this time around we spotted feline splashed furs and satins in rich jewel tones mixed with splashes of neon.
Buy it: Faux fur coat, Dhs499, Mango, visit Mall of the Emirates and City Centre Mirdif.
As seen at: Balmain and Derek Lam
The look: Get set to embrace your inner hippie as this fashion flashback is once again back in favour. We saw a big seventies throwback with lots of retro silhouettes and oversized bell-bottom flares.
Buy it: Flared corduroy trousers, Dhs195, Zara, visit Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif.
As seen at: Marc Jacobs and Fausto Puglisi
The look: Flattering, forgiving and modest – we love a billowing maxi skirt. The FROW fell for this season’s new take on the sartorial staple. Take this trend to new lengths and team with shrunken shirts and disco platforms for a fresh take on evening attire.
Buy it: Faux leather maxi skirt, Dhs1,608, BCBGMAXAZRIA, visit Mall of the Emirates and City Centre Mirdif.
