Become a savvy-shopper with our top wallet-saving tips for a day at the Dubai malls.
Be the first in line for great deals by asking your favourite shopping stores in the Dubai malls to sign you up to their special customer sale alerts. They will add you to a special list and you’ll receive exclusive text messages about upcoming discounts or sales.
MAKE A LIST
As you would on a grocery shop, write down exactly what you need (or want) from your trip to the mall. Whether it’s the perfect little black dress to wear for a big meeting, or a new pair of school shoes for the kids, stick to the list and visit the stores you know will have the items you’re looking for.
If you can’t find your size always ask one of the helpful shop assistants. They often have extras in the back storage room or can locate a particular item in another store location. For example the H&M in Mall of the Emirates might be out of an item, whereas the H&M in City Centre Mirdif or City Centre Deira might have it in stock.
If you’re unsure about exchange rates, simply download a currency app to your phone. This way you will know the exact price in your currency. Our favourite apps are XE Currency and Currency Converter Plus; both are available to download at the app store online.
DUBAI SHOPPING FESTIVALS
The Dubai shopping malls often hold special events such as 10 Years of Wow and World of Fashion at Mall of the Emirates. The shopping extravaganzas offer incredible money-saving deals and fun entertainment for all to enjoy.
