Movie Night: September's Biggest Blockbusters

The top films to see this month at VOX cinemas.

A box of popcorn, sink-into chairs and epic entertainment – we love a night off at Vox Cinema in Dubai, enjoying the latest blockbusters.

September brings a whole host of incredible new flicks, from action and adventure to Bollywood and rom-coms Here’s our top three must-watch movies for the month ahead… 


Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Keira Knightley and Josh Brolin, this high-octane drama, based on an inspiring true story, follows a group of adventurists on a climbing expedition to Mt. Everest, which is soon devastated by a severe snow storm.

The entire movie will have you sitting on the edge of your chair.

If you love adventure, special effects and extreme weather challenges, this icy drama is for you.

Jake Gyllenhaal also stars in this hard-hitting drama, alongside Rachel McAdams and rapper-turned-actor 50 Cent. Billy Hope (Gyllenhaal) is the protagonist, a down-in-luck boxer who turns to his trainer, played by Forest Whitaker, to help him get his life back on track after a serious of tragic accidents. The movie is equal parts emotional and motivating, with lots of fight scenes for the sports fans.

From the director behind the hugely popular Taken franchise, comes this action-packed crime-thriller starring Hollywood up-and-comers Ed Skrein and Loan Chabanol. The adrenaline-filled story is set in the South of France where former special-ops mercenary Frank Martin enters a dangerous game with a beautiful femme fatale and her pack of glamorous followers as they embark on a vendetta against a dangerous Russian crime leader.

BLAZE: The international Dance Spectacular

Dance fans will love this electric show full of high-energy music and moves. Mixing nightclub vibes with all the excitement of a West End production, Blaze The Show is a fantastic experience with plenty of street and break dancing action.

Directed by Anthony van Laast, the man behind Mamma Mia!, Sister Act and Batman Live. He also choreographed by some of the brightest and hottest names in the street dance scene. This show will have you up from your chair and grooving along to the incredible beats.

Dates: August 20-22, shows start at 2:30pm and 7:30pm daily.
